Andrew J. Whittington

President & Chief Underwriting Officer

Andrew Whittington currently serves as President and Chief Underwriting Officer of RSUI, overseeing the product line departments. Andrew is heavily involved in managing wholesale producer relationships and overall underwriting results. He is passionate about empowering underwriters to be creative with an opportunistic outlook and entrepreneurial flair. Andrew is skilled at encouraging underwriters to solve problems while maintaining the underwriting discipline that has been instrumental to the success of the company.

After launching his career in London, Andrew brought his talents to the United States. He has held underwriting positions at General Reinsurance, National Reinsurance and Westfield Insurance.

Andrew is active in WSIA, where he serves on the Audit & Compliance Committee.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies from Manchester Metropolitan University and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University.

Competitive by nature, Andrew spends his free time running and practicing Pilates. He also enjoys watching soccer, or “football,” and playing bogey golf at world class venues.
