Phillip McCrorie

Chief Executive Officer & Chairman

Phillip McCrorie serves as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of RSUI. When he joined RSUI in 2003 as Chief Financial Officer, he transformed the finance department into a highly efficient and effective unit by recruiting long-term talent and driving process improvement through technology. Phillip has a passion for helping people achieve their highest level of success, which translates to how he leads the organization to continue RSUI’s strong and profitable track record.

Prior to joining RSUI, Phillip held senior financial positions at Axis Specialty Group, Gulf Insurance, United Capitol, and Van-American Insurance Company.

Phillip has been actively involved with WSIA, serving on the Board since 2020 and previously as Chair in 2025. In addition to his board leadership, he has contributed as both a committee member and an instructor at the WSIA E&S School for young professionals. He was also appointed to the WSIA Talent Advocacy & Engagement Foundation in 2020.

Phillip completed the Wharton School Insurance Executive Development Program with the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (AICPCU) and holds a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Auburn University and a Master of Arts in Finance from the University of Alabama.

In his free time, he can often be found outdoors playing golf with family and friends or spending time with his family dog. One of his proudest golf achievements is making the cut at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, a tournament he has played in for six years and counting.
